Nos interesa utilizar la información de los genomas para poder entender las características comunes de un grupo, su evolución. Además de poder entender la diversidad de funciones, que genes tienen las bacterias en conjunto para poder sobrellevar los diversos maltratos ambientales a los que se enfrentan y cómo se han adaptado a los mismos. Nuestras herramientas son la genómica, genómica comparativa y la metagenómica.
