Líneas de investigación

Biodegradación de plásticos. En mi laboratorio hemos aislado y estudiamos microorganismos ambientales con capacidades de degradar plásticos. El objetivo principal es conocer los procesos bioquímicos y genéticos involucrados en la degradación. Análisis genómico, transcriptómico y proteómico de microorganismos que degradan poliuretano. Identificación de los genes y las enzimas involucradas en otorgar esta capacidad a los microorganismos.
